My kids have not had many sick days. My daughter was sick yesterday. She did not feel well. She has a lot of energy. She was clearly stuffed up. She wanted to stay home. We sent her to the doctor. She got some medicine and was told she could go back to school today. She wanted to stay home again.
We don’t like to keep them off school. There are good reasons to keep them out. I think she wanted to spend time with Mom. She wanted to sleep in. The cold made her grouchy. She had some medicine and was resting for a while.
She wanted to have lunch from a burger place. She was happy with that. She wanted to watch movies all day. I turned off the movie and let her rest. I did not want her on a device all day. She was with me for my lunch hour. It is frowned up to use sick days. However, she needed a break, as well. I don’t allow sick days too often. She was glad to spend time with me. She was glad to get medicine to make her feel better. She even reminded me of taking it this morning.
