It is that time of year again. We are looking forward to spring. We are coloring Easter Eggs. I am doing it because, I want to have fun with my kids. I am not doing it to be anti-anything. My kids like art. We like to do creative things together. We like Eggs. We like eating eggs. We eat lots of eggs. They are convenient, for breakfast. The kids learn valuable cooking skills.
They get to do something with Mom and Dad. It is more than just cosmetic. It is fun, art, health, and socializing all rolled into one activity. It is not to confuse my kids about the religious holiday.
We will celebrate that the proper way. We do not focus on decorating only. Our hearts are filled with love for each other, as we enjoy family time together. That is the most important thing. The reason for the celebration will not be lost in the decorating. We will go to church. We will talk about it. We will have fun together. We will work together to accomplish something. We will be decorating the eggs early, so the kids will have plenty of time for celebrating. Do what you will.
