Joy Joy

Getting to have fun with my loves today. I am so happy they are off of school. You may be asking why. I think of poor mothers who’s kids are really sick or worse who lost their kids. That may be the most gut wrenching thing a parent would have to face.

So I try to experience the joy I have even when it is difficult. In the most trying times, it can be hard to find the good. I don’t want to take my kids for granted. They need to know how important they are to me. I have to show them by my actions and deeds. Do I say what I am going to do? Do I help them? Do I teach them? Do I spend time with them that they will cherish?

There is no greater pleasure than knowing that time spent with them has been appreciated. When they smile and say how happy they are that you read to them. Those angelic little faces light up and look at you and you know that you have made them happy. Now, it is not always up to us to make them happy. No one can make anyone feel anything. It has to come from deep within and has to be selfless. In the end there is no Joy like Joy.
