Early Risers

I am getting a jump start on my day, as the kids are still sleeping in their beds. I am letting them sleep in. It may be a big mistake. On one hand I am getting what I need to get done, before they can get up. I want to focus on them once they are up. I don’t want to feel guilty for not spending time with them. They have no idea how important they are to me. I wake up early to get things done so I can spend precious moments with them. It truly is special. They are so active and busy. We can talk and eat a meal together. I realize how funny and smart they are. I have no idea where they get that from.

If they do get up, I want them to know they can do important tasks before going off to school or watching cartoons. They can think about what they want their day to be like. I want them to know the benefits of being early risers. They be great if they choose the right tasks to do before they start their day. They can achieve whatever they want if they are focused early in the morning. I want to be a great example. I may have to get up even earlier as they catch on.
