The kids volunteered unwillingly to help me. I recruited them to help me at the church. They did not want to go to church. They get bored at church. I was fighting with them to get to the church on time for the event.
We got there late. I did not coral them soon enough to get there on time. As soon as they found out they were going to church, they were hesitant.
I persisted. They got there and found out was were going to do for a project. They turned their noses up and did not want to do it. Then they got started and I heard them say that they were having fun. They were sad that it was over. They wanted to stay longer. I was sure to praise them for their hard work. They were just happy spending time with me. I volunteered them for the work. However, I think I won’t have any trouble next time getting them to pitch in.
