The past few years went by so fast. The kids have grown so much. They have accomplished so much. Now they are all in school. They are glad that they don’t have school for a few weeks. They can take care of themselves, but they still need Mom. There are lessons that they have learned. There have been trials. Mom and Dad have been busy with their work.
Raising kids is the hardest thing, that I have ever done. We have been through a lot together. They are full of energy, they are curious, and they are bright. It was done by a concerted effort. We tried to nurture them and guide them. The teachers in their school have helped them grow but Mom and Dad have supplemented their educations.
We took the time to teach them their life skills. There are a lot more we can do to teach them. We are taking this time to reflect on what we can teach them next year. This year has been full of new things for them. We traveled. They have new classes. They have after school activities. They have made new friends. They have had great experiences and some bad ones. However, they came through with flying colors. That is all that a parent can ask, is that their children will look back and see that their parents cared for them. We may not have always agreed with what they wanted to do, but we loved them through all the things they went through.
