Making Memories with the kids during this time of year is a priority. It is funny how when you make up your mind to do something, you start to see reminders of what you want to do everywhere. I know my kids are a priority to me. I want them to have precious memories of their childhood. I know I wanted to create new traditions, so the kids would have happy memories.
There are plenty of people doing great things during the Christmas Season. They are too young to bring to a homeless shelter and serve guests. That may be in a few years. I do want them to serve others. I would like it if they could get to do things for others and see that there is magic in serving others. There is something amazing in helping others in need. You forget about your troubles, when you help others.
That is what we were created for. We also have moments of whip cream, hot chocolate, and peppermint candy canes. I am hoping that the moments they did something for someone else will make them see the importance of doing things for the good of others. They can still do the things they want. When we help others as a family it bonds us and we will have precious memories to last a life time.
