We are going to go somewhere today. I am not sure where. We are all milling about. Someone is looking for a shoe. Another one is glued to the TV. Her hair is not brushed. She does not have her coat on. I announced that we would be going somewhere about an hour ago. This happens because we are not prepared the night before. We did not have a plan in place. This is a teachable moment.
I am determined to get ready for the new year. To get ready to get ready. I want us all to be able to do the things that we would like. We must have a plan in place. Wasting time getting ready, is not an option.
I want to instill in my kids that it is a good thing to plan ahead. We can be more disciplined in getting things done. We don’t have to procrastinate. We can do what we want, as long as we plan for it. I am waiting for them to do what I needed so we can head on out. Lesson learned. We have a new plan for the next time we want to get ready to do something.
