My daughter had the cat. She was playing with the cat as if it were a puppet. The cat is very long and lean. However, it looked uncomfortable. She wanted to play with it’s paws as if the cat were doing a tap dance. The animal was in misery. I had to rescue the cat. Explaining that the cat’s spine is capable of bending more than ours was easy. However, the concept was not accepted. I tell her that the cat has a delicate spine because it is smaller than ours.
She let the cat go. I do think she will try to test this out. The cat will endure some more play. They love to explore. Cats are great for kids. The cat we have has a great temperament. He allows this to go on to a point. Then he starts looking for an escape route.
Kids can bend like a cat’s spine. They can be flexible in a way that allows them to learn. They can come up with creative ways to do tasks. When I listen to them, I also learn something. I can bend too. It is not so bad. I am not in misery like the poor cat. Their ideas are really helpful and creative.
