My kids love to go out on Halloween. They love to eat candy. Walking around with their friends is what they like to do. Getting free candy is fun for them. They really like getting dressed up. They were really excited to be with their friends. As a child, this was a fun time for me. I look back and have fond memories. My son feels like he is too old to do this anymore. He did not dress up. He did not want to go out. He is much older than the girls. He said it was boring.
I like to have fun every once in a while. It is nice to have a holiday that I can share with the kids. It feels a little different this year. We are all doing something different. There are times when I would have dressed up at work. I don’t do that any more. I worked from home today. A costume was the last idea I had on my mind. I was more concerned with getting all the candy out and making sure my kids were fed. It is nice to play dress up. It is even nicer not to have to worry about all of the normal Halloween stuff. Maybe next year will be different. I have to do some things to make it different. I may dress up. It might be a real treat.
