Wait for it

Trying to get what I want accomplished can be like waiting for paint to dry. There are processes involved in what I want to accomplish. It takes time to get results. With a lot of moving parts it can be hard to be patient to see the outcome of all of your hard work. I say celebrate the small victories. As I returned back to work, I rode the elevator up and said to the other passenger, “We made it to Lunch.” I made the man smile. Two small victories in today. I made it home. Another win. I have one more day to go. I started picturing my last day ever today.

I have one more year to go in my current job. Then I want to pursue other avenues. I have irons in the fire, so to speak. I am slowly preparing for future jobs now. I am having a hard time, waiting. The work is not what I want to do forever. I will leave it at that. See above with any questions. I think this will teach my kids some lessons as well. Even though I don’t like what I am doing right now, it does not have to be forever. Better days are coming. They will be the days I don’t have to do the same work over and over. I can do what I want. I will be in charge of my destiny. All I have to do is hurry up and wait.
