My oldest daughter has a mind of her own. She wanted to get her hair cut. She has long hair. She knew that she wanted to get it cut off. She knew just the right amount she wanted to get cut off. She had a vision of what she wanted. She saw her hair and was so happy. She expressed herself so clearly that there was no doubt about what she wanted. She reminded me that I did promise to take her to get her hair cut.
If only I could learn a few things from her. She makes up her mind and then pursues what she wants. She is daring. There are times when I might get offended at how pushy she can be. Then I think of how important it is that she can express herself and speak up for what she wants. I like to encourage her behavior. I don’t like it when she gets too bossy. However, she needs to be that way. It is unfortunate, that people will treat women and girls to a lesser degree. Women have to fight harder for what they want. They have to be stronger than most. I am proud of my daring daughter. I don’t want to discourage her.
