My girls are singing the “Blitzen the Boogie Woogie Reindeer,” song. I can’t get it out of my head. They are so adorable. They have so much fun singing. My daughters are excited about singing the song, because they have a concert coming up. My daughters are totally enthusiastic about the performance. They wanted to borrow my phone to learn the dance moves.
They don’t know what choreography is. They do know that what they are doing is super important. They ask Siri “What is the dance moves to Boogie Woogie?” They go in another room and watch. I do want to support them. I usually don’t allow them to look at the phone for long periods of time.
I want them to focus on other areas of learning. However, in this case, I broke my own rule. I allowed them to look at the dance moves, so they could learn how to Boogie. I could not help but be pulled in by their excitement. When they are motivated they usually accomplish what they set out to do. I want to be a supportive Mom. When they are full of energy, I don’t want to squash that. I want them to Boogie like the best of them.
