Surrender

I have been reading the book by Michael Singer, “The Surrender Experiment.” This book is about giving in to life and not allowing your personal preferences or your ego to take control of your life. Sometimes we hold back ourselves. Sometimes we think the worst about ourselves. We can be our own worst enemy.

When dealing with kids it is best to give them boundaries. However, it is important to listen to them and not let our personal biases influence them. Do you not like snakes? Do you tell your kids that you don’t like snakes? Do they have a fear of snakes? It is actually your dislike or your fear that you are putting on your children. They take those preferences and fears with them. They are watching your every move. You are the best example for them. If you surrender to what life is calling you to do, then you will teach them to surrender to what life is calling them to do.

Don’t hold back, surrender.
