Tests

I learned about stress mastery. Have I mastered the stress mastery techniques. Not as well, as I had hoped. There are days where everything seems to go right.

Then there are times when the kids get sick, you have goals to accomplish, the door is locked, one kid steps on a lego has a bloody foot, you can’t find the key, you need groceries, your kids need to take their medicine, and you were up early and need to get some rest.

Trying not get upset. Trying to remain calm. This too shall pass. It is all not real. Why am I getting upset and irritated. Being mindful of what I am doing is what is needed.

Changing patterns and interrupting negative thoughts is what it takes. Sometimes it may hit you all at once. It feels like a test. One after another. In the end not getting mad is a true test of mastery.
